I feel like I’ve been gone a minute. Only because my show started airing recently and I just noted that I am back to being a full-time blogger. Careers. Sigh. Yet exciting.
I had been experiencing a subtle case of depression. It’s almost a month of self employment and it definitely feels like it. I sold my car about a month ago so it has been almost impossible and hella expensive to get around. I have mostly been home.
But I am jumping into March with all sorts of active vibes ready to get what I deserve.
My depression started with acknowledging how much work I put in and how little the return is in a country like mine. I work entirely too hard and do not earn half of what I deserve. And yet here I am, still working.
I definitely feel like I should be getting more than I do, for all the work that I do and I have spent my month being depressed about it. But you know what? It is better than sitting around a government office watching YouTube waiting for a paycheck.
I have Faith the market will change some day, and for the future generations I sure pray and will do my part to make sure it does.
I read a certain quote that said,
“Work to make the dream a possibility for the next generation”
– Marcus Garvey.
It was exactly what I needed to zap me out of my depression and back to work.
