Things I wish I said | Poetry Album Launch

On Saturday, the 9th of November, 2019, Marumbo Sichinga, known to those who love him as just “Maru” ; and launched his third collection titled ‘Things I Wish I Said’. He launched his first poetry collection, titled ‘Broken Keys‘ in 2016.

‘Things I wish I said’ has 9 tracks:

“Introduction”

“Poetry in Africa”

“Man Up”

“All men”

“Vida” – Interlude, ft Timmy

“Options” ft George Kalukusha

“Friendship and Faith”

“I want”

He collaborated with two people on the project, Timothy Ntilo (Timmy) and George Kalukusha.

The CD has one bonus poem, he refers to as the “Silent Poem”.

“The launch was amazing. It was far more than what I expected. I was hoping that people would come to the show, but I did not expect the numbers that we got.

My goal was to make people understand that poetry is something they can respect and enjoy. A lot of people walked away with plenty respect for the art, and I can say it was successful.”

Marumbo also performed at the Lake of Stars and Tumaini Festival this year, among other events and shows.
