Sincerely Your Junior

Hey hey!

Here is a piece I wrote for my seniors a year ago as we were bidding our farewells. I too, just graduated and I’m looking back at the day I watched them leave feeling as if mine was distance away. We always leave too soon, don’t we.

|sincerely your junior|

You stand by the window,
Looking out
Watching the sun set
The birds fly
The day lapsing to night
And it pricks you
Stings your heart
Bite your soul
How more than two years of cribbing about the one place you wish to leave,
Is suddenly so close to your heart
Suddenly so much part of you
How did this happen?
You feel that stench of feeling which is more than pain
It is not pain.
Will leaving college mean leaving part of you?

Go, fly my darling
Catch the stars
Own the moon
Whatever it is you love,
Will become all yours.
But do remember
To remember.
Remember our abode.
Remember, we will always.
Always look up to you.

Sincerely your junior.
