Wouldn’t you like a little change in your life?

By Kate

So today I have been thinking a lot about my writing journey. I am not in the best place yet, but I am so in love with the progress than the perfection. Why I feel good about my writing journey is the fact that I keep learning more and more about myself, life and the universe. In this piece I would love to share with you how a slight change can contribute to your self-growth and improvement.

If I had a chance, about a year ago to introduce myself to you all, I do not know what I would have said. Before I thought of blogging, I aspired to be a motivational speaker. So, I decided to ask a friend what he thought of the idea and he said….’you do have an amazing life story and your articulation of issues would be a great place to learn from…..but it is surprising because you like keeping to yourself when you can.’

To be perfectly honest, he was right! I used to be so reserved. I was not born an introvert, but I struggled with a lot of insecurities, feelings of unworthiness, anxiety, depression and lack of purpose. The time I thought of becoming a motivational speaker, I really did not have any idea of how I was going to start. In the midst of trying to figure out how, I decided to start writing.

So with no any writing experience or expertise, I started blogging. As I continue to do so, I have gotten to believe that regardless of whatever we have been through, we can become anything we want in life, if we put in the work.

We all have issues, of course different issues, but we should never let things like anxiety, insecurities and so on steal our purpose in life. I really like to think that each one of us was created for some purpose on earth. Not every one finds their purpose, and sometimes when you find it, it leads you to another calling which you have, but never knew existed. But like I said, it requires work.

Quickly I will tell you one step to get started with changing how you see life. Ask yourself if you are happy with the results that come from your behaviours, habits and/or patterns? That’s the best place to start.

Until next time,

Kate.
