Collective| Nyenyezi Ya Ku M’mawa

by Stars

Nyenyezi ya ku M’mawa is a collective under the Nthanda Foundation, ran in collaboration with By Ntha Media.

We noted most creatives in Malawi lack the knowledge and corporate training on how to use their skills and talents to create sustainable and impactful businesses.

How we work together

At NYKM, we work with upcoming creative entrepreneurs. We work to connect academic researches and young creatives through the Nthanda Foundation, to produce well-researched brief, engaging and informative content for development. We aim to be self-sustaining through marketing and the monetisation of our craft.

We identify new talents, and offer them workforce training, as we help them develop sustainable brands and businesses.

We bridge academic researchers and young creatives (15-30) through the Nyenyezi ya ku M’mawa collective, to create engaging media content which champions social/development/progression through the creation of engaging and informative media.

We run the Nyenyezi quarterly fellowships, where we work with university level writers, poets, musicians, actors, producers, athletes, and all innovators and creatives.

Creatives are trained to channel their talents into marketable attributes like Marketing, Designing, Production, Event Management, and so on. We equip these students with the skills, experience and resources necessary for the creation of impactful content. Once the media is produced, we share with all our stakeholders through digital channels.

We hope, with the knowledge and experience we give them, they can become entrepreneurs, and create their own businesses.
