Call for Fellows | The Rainbow Congolomerate Launch

In collaboration with the Nthanda Foundation, We are officially launching the Rainbow Congolomerate later this year (2020), and we are looking for fellows to work with us towards the success of this launch. At the end of the contract, and upon satisfactory performance, some fellows will be considered for full-time employment.

About Us

The Nthanda Foundation advocates for social/development progression through strategic communication, using creativity and innovation.

The By Ntha Media is a Creative Production and Publications Media/Communications Company, specialising in digital branding and storytelling.

The above stated organisations work in collaboration to produce 7 different media products, with a unified goal of informing policy and impacting change.

Our advocacy thematic areas under the Nthanda Foundation are, but not limited to: girls and women empowerment, young people living with HIV/AIDS, differently abled people, Gender Based Violence, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, LGBTQIA+ decriminalization and Mental Health.

The dissemination of all our work at By Ntha Media is digital.

Anyone looking in getting training/experience in advocacy skills, creative skills, digital skills, entrepreneurship skills, and event production.

Considerations

We will consider applications from all individuals meeting the mandatory requirements.

We will consider applications from everyone (including people who are employed), but will prefer to train students/interns.

Mandatory requirements

Must be based in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Must be aged 18-25.

Must be self-motivated.

Must be creative/innovative

Must have at least one skill to develop within this period. Please state in application.

Must be a registered University student, or hold a (any) bachelor’s degree from an accredited University, with not more than 1 year of experience.

Access to mobility (a car) at least once a week is an added advantage. Please state in application.

Things Fellows Should Know

Roles and responsibilities

Successful candidates will be:

Involved in many areas across the spectrum of our work, including but not limited to; proposal development, events management and advocacy.

The first contact for guests, donors, media and marketing partners towards, and during the launch.

In charge of at least one segment of event production.

Period

6 Months – 3 Months, Renewable after 3 Months upon satisfactory performance.

1st May, 2020 – 31st July, 2020

1st August, 2020 – 30th October, 2020

Working Hours

15hrs a week

2hrs a day, 1(1hr) meeting a week

The cloud

All our work is digital, and you will be provided with a monthly data allowance.
